Step-by-Step Guide

1

Both partners stretch and warm up first — hamstrings, lower back, and hip flexors all need to be loosened. The receiving partner should be able to do a basic bridge (back-bend from lying down) comfortably before attempting this.

2

The receiving partner lies on their back on a firm, soft surface (yoga mat on carpet). The penetrating partner kneels between the receiving partner's legs, providing support for the back-bend.

3

The receiving partner lifts their hips and arches their back into a bridge position, supporting their weight on their shoulders and feet. The penetrating partner can support the lower back with one hand during the initial lift.

4

The penetrating partner enters from the front while the receiving partner holds the bridge — the arched-back position creates a dramatic upward angle that opens the anterior wall and deep spots. Entry must be slow because the angle is extreme.

5

The receiving partner can lower back down to a supported bridge (resting on shoulders with hips still elevated) if the full bridge is too strenuous. The penetrating partner supports the hip elevation with their hands under the receiving partner's glutes.

6

Keep sessions very short (1-2 minutes maximum) — the bridge position requires significant strength from the receiving partner's legs, core, and back. Fatigue in these muscle groups risks collapse and injury.

7

To exit, the receiving partner slowly lowers their back to the surface first, the penetrating partner withdraws, and both partners take a moment to recover. The acrobatic element means muscle fatigue is real — don't rush to the next position.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Even with the right technique, small errors can reduce pleasure or increase injury risk. Here are the most common mistakes couples make with the Stuntman position:

Skipping the warm-up stretch

The bridge position demands significant hamstring, lower back, and hip flexor flexibility. Attempting it cold risks muscle strain, cramping, or inability to achieve the arch. A 2-3 minute stretch before attempting this position is essential.

The receiving partner's weight on their neck

In a proper bridge, weight is distributed across the shoulders and feet — not the neck. If the receiving partner feels neck pressure, they're either too far back on their shoulders or their feet are too far from their hips. Adjust foot placement closer to the glutes.

The penetrating partner not supporting the back

During the initial bridge and throughout, the penetrating partner should have one hand ready to support the receiving partner's lower back or glutes. Without this support point, the receiving partner must hold the bridge entirely with their own strength, leading to rapid fatigue and collapse risk.

Holding the position too long

The bridge is a strenuous isometric hold — even fit people fatigue in 60-90 seconds. Pushing past the fatigue threshold risks muscle cramping or sudden collapse. Keep it to 1-2 minutes and exit before strength fails.

Variations to Try

Once you've mastered the basic Stuntman, these variations can add new sensations and keep things exciting:

1

Add a Pillow

Place a pillow under the receiving partner's hips to change the angle of penetration and enhance stimulation.

2

Incorporate Manual Stimulation

Use hands to add clitoral or other external stimulation during the position for enhanced pleasure.

3

Slow Down the Pace

Switch from thrusting to grinding for a more intimate, sensation-focused experience.

4

Try Different Surfaces

Move from the bed to a couch, standing, or against a wall for different angles and experiences.
